A colleague once advised me to stop thinking.
Start with a sketch, an idea, no blueprint. Not the advice I was expecting but I trusted his direction. It worked and it propels me still.
Trust. Trust my instincts. Trust my intuition. It gives curiosity full reign that I can act on, not knowing what will come.
Process, materiality and the welcomed accident drive my work. It’s a discovery process that is sometimes sculptural, sometimes two-dimensional. The results are unintended stories with universal tones, often personal. They catch my attention and catch me by surprise.
